superb is an understatement

that son of a t-square is just.. just.. just..

good.
no i think superb is an understatement.

im kind of scared but somehow excited
because i now realize that there is really a market for that kind of design in a conservative country like the philippines
i see him as an inspiration about what things could actually be done.

LOOKING BACK : THE ARCHITECTURAL BOARD EXAM RESULTS

The day was July 27 2009

4:37pm : still at the office.

my thoughts..

“I didn’t finish my freakin’ design exam..”
“I didn’t finish my freakin’ design exam..”
“…board exam results tonight”
“I didn’t finish my freakin’ design exam..”
“I didn’t finish my freakin’ design exam..”
“…board exam results tonight”

Arghh!!...

5:32pm :  on my way home.

As I walk to the fx terminal I drowned myself to music. I hyped up the volume loud enough to take my mind off  the upcoming architecture board exam result that will be released later. It was when “I gotta feeling” (by bep) suddenly played on the radio and I found myself smiling, hoping that this song would be the soundtrack of the day.

10:36 : anxiety attack.

I knew for a fact that I was not the only one in the world who was praying her ass off (there were 1,548 of us to be exact) . The result was just minutes away. I started to feel the nerves creeping up on me. I decided to turn my cellphone into silent mode and shut my computer down. I was so anxious that I cannot be near where my computer and my cellphone were, the two mediums that would declare my fate. I literally managed to squeeze my body between my parents who were asleep in the next room. And just to find additional strength, I blasted gospel music in my mp3 player.

11:30pm : moment of truth.

I decided to check my cellphone.

as I touched it I whispered a prayer.

Then..

8 UNREAD MESSAGE..

anxiety builds up….

heart beats fast..

OPEN MESSAGE…

heart beats faster..

and then I read the 3 most unforgettable words ever

“ARCHITECT NA TAYO!! “

Oh…. MY…. Goddddd!!...

11:38 sharing the good news.

After verifying the results on the net, I slowly crept beside my parents and whispered to them..

“architect na ko..”

And then I saw the look on my parents faces.. PRICELESS.
They simply began thanking Jesus.

I didn’t slept that day
I didn’t even report to work the next day

The euphoria lasted for a year. : )
